グランフォンド　モンテ・グラッパ

ローカルなので世界的な知名度はないが国内ではとてもハードな登りで知られるグラッパ山を登るレースを紹介する。場所はイタリアのお酒のグラッパで知られるバッサーノ・デッラ・グラッパ市だ。

レースの話をすると、ロングは173km。２６４０ｍトータル標高を登る。ショートは１２８ｋｍだが１６００UPだ。最大の難所はグラッパ山で、平均５．８％最大１０％を２８ｋｍ登るのだ。2番目に激しい坂も２５ｋｍ登る。去年の勝者はクリスチャン・チェラッリといい、（VICINIチーム）が単独トップでピークにのぼってきた。

ショートの方はステファーノ・ザボッリが勝った。ちなみに・・・ミケーレ自身はショートで参加、スタートを上位で立ち上がるのが大事だがそれができず、グラッパ山の麓まで来たときマイペースを心に決めて登った。ようやくの山頂付近でなんと！前の集団が見えたので下りでリスクをおかしたが追い上げ、下り切る頃には追いついた。が、トップ集団はすでに行っていて第二グループだった。しぶしぶ集団の中でおとなしくしてゴールした。結果は56位、年代別では6位だった・・・。

At first, let’s explain the meaning of the word Granfondo; it’s made of 2 words Grande (Gran) and Fondo.

最初に、グランフォンドという言葉の意味を説明しましょう。GRAN　とFONDOです。
The first one, means Great/Big and the 2^nd one means Endurance, so the meaning is Big Endurance.

最初のが大きいという意味で2番目のがエンデュランス（耐久）を意味しています。よって、大耐久という意味になります。

 

Indeed usually the amatorial races are short as distance, but Granfondo is a long distance event, where you need to have a good traning and a good endurance for finish them.

 

大抵のアマチュアレースは短いです。グランフォンドは長いイベントで、じゅうぶんなトレーニングとゴールまでの我慢が要求されます。

 

At first the Granfondo where made as a chance for the hobby cyclists to meet, so they could ride togheter and have fun by riding in nice places.

 

はじめは、趣味として自転車に出会い、仲間と乗るようになり景色のいいところに行ってみたりします。

Then, with the time, ever more peoples gathered at these events, and they started to have a ranking too.

その時、たくさんの人がいれば何番目に着いたか気になりますね。

With the arrive of the ranking, the hobby cyclists started to train ever better, cause they wanted to finish as better as possible also just for beat their friends.

ランキングでホビーサイクリストはトレーニングするようになり仲間より速くなろうとするのです。

 

In the last year, with the arrive of some big sponsor, some amatorial teams have been organizing ever better, and now many of them can be compareted to some Professional cycling teams.

去年、大スポンサーがつき以前より大きなアマチュアチームが発足しました。よく組織されていて現在プロ養成所になっています。

This year Bianchi has been the biggest sponsor coming inside the Granfondo World, by supporting the ex team Pennelli Cinghiale.

今年は最大のスポンサービアンキがチームペンネッリ・チンギアーレができました。

Which such big sponsor, big teams have also big names inside it, as for example ex pro Raimondas Rumsas, who run for Parkpre-Guru, and many other riders.

こんな大きなスポンサーがつき、レイモンダス・ルムシャスなどが活躍しています。

But the biggest success of these races is made by the huge numbers of hobby cyclists who take part at it for just have fun.

しかし最大の楽しみは多数のサイクリストと走り楽しむことです。

As number of peoples, a Granfondo can go from 500-1000 in the smaller events to 8000-10000 cyclists in the most prestigious ones.
グランフォンドは５００～１０００人くらい、大きいと8千～一万人規模の物もあります。
